Thank you so much Kit and Brian for doing this for my cousin’s son. Cheryl and I pretty much grew up together in the summers, as I lived in Florida and Cheryl lived in Michigan. We spent a lot of time together, as much as we could living so far apart. I watched Matt grow up to be the hero that he was. He was never in a bad mood, was always joking around and always had a smile on his face. He was a true angel from the beginning and has certainly earned his wings many times over. I so wish all of Matt’s men, the best party ever, as they so deserve for what they have done for this great Nation, myself and my family, and for every living American. God bless them and you for doing this. It means so much!

I am proud to say I am Matt and Stan’s aunt, Cheryl’s sister. First, the strength of this family is overwhelming. You hear people say all the time, ” that could never happen to us,” when we heard Matt had been killed we were in shocked, sad, and very angry, the days to follow were filled with lots of tears, hugs, phone calls & e-mails. I was mad at Matt for going back I couldn’t understand his thinking. It wasn’t till the night we were all sitting around Cheryl and Terry’s table listening to Matt’s comrades talking about what they were doing over their, the story’s were now real to me. These men and women are doing their job, and whats weird is they talk about it like we do our jobs here, the difference is they have to live where they work, no breaks, working conditions are horrific, sleeping and eating in filth, no showers. The story’s were unreal. I already have a very big family but I am happy to say the adoption went through and we have new members ,173rd I am proud to have you part of our family. Thanks for all you do to let us live free.
